Gas phase photooxidation of iodine containing volatile organics leading to iodine oxide aerosol formation, and physical and chemical characterization of this iodine oxide aerosol. The purpose is to simulate iodine oxide aerosols that may be emitted into the confined environment or the outside atmosphere following a major nuclear power plant accident.
