The Orbitrap LC-MS platform is one of the major pieces of equipment acquired under the "Structuring Equipment for Research (ESR / EquipEx+)" initiative, as part of the IMAGINE2 research project (National Platform for Imaging and Analysis to Guide Innovation in Response to Environmental and Energy Transition). This program brings together 14 partners across 6 sites in France.

As a partner in IMAGINE2, the LCE (Laboratoire de Chimie de l’Environnement) is responsible for developing applications related to this Orbitrap LC-MS system.

Equipment Description

This high-resolution instrument (R=1,000,000) is dedicated to the analysis of organic species (micropollutants, reaction transformation products, etc.) for structural elucidation and non-targeted, suspected, or effect-directed analysis.

The system consists of a Vanquish Flex UPLC coupled with the Eclipse Orbitrap (ThermoScientific).
