Jean-Luc Boudenne (LCE-TRAME) and Tarek Manasfi (EAWAG, Switzerland) are the editors of the First Edition of the book dedicated to the "Analysis and formation Disinfection of Byproducts in Drinking Water" that will be published in the prestigious Elsevier Serie Comprehensive Analytical Chemistry handbook on April 1st, 2021.

This edition gathers the most eminent specialists in the field of Disinfection By-Products (DBPs) analysis (including Pr Susan RICHARDSON, University of South Carolina; Pr Cristina POSTIGO Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research, Spain; Dr Maria José FERRE, Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA), Spain; Dr Holger Lütze, Department of Environmental Analysis and Pollutants, Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany).

This book focuses on recent advances on DBPs analysis in waters, with specific chapters on conventional analysis, non-target analysis, and novel methods based on mass-spectrometry detection for identification of unknown DBPs. These methods are described in the frame of oxidation processes underlying their formations (chlorination, ozonation, advanced oxidation processes)  and of nature of raw ressource treated for human consumption.
